Mesquite Regional Business, Inc. (MRB) announces the receipt of a $4,000 investment from American Bank of the North. American Bank has done business for many years in the Mesquite area. They hold several commercial properties that they are looking for business to move into. They have worked closely with MRB to try and accomplish this.
American Bank representative Steve Arbour presented the check to MRB CEO Gaye Stockman and George Gault, MRB Chair, stating, “I applaud local government and community leaders in establishing the Mesquite Regional Business, Inc. The organization has done a great job of raising awareness of the opportunities in Mesquite far beyond the borders of town. Gaye Stockman has done a good job of marketing our properties, working within the community to network with business people, and to determine their needs also. American Bank hopes the businesses community will step up with support, as we are, to keep the important work of MRB going strong.”
Doug Reath, Premier Properties’ Realtor was present when Mr. Arbour presented the check to MRB. Many times MRB works in coordination with local Realtors to provide support when they are meeting with clients.
Reath added, “When we need demographics and other assistance for developers considering the area for future projects, I can always rely on Gaye Stockman to be available with current, accurate information and assistance. MRB is a valuable resource and we encourage other commercial Real Estate professionals to utilize their services.”
MRB’s Board of Directors are seeking community-minded corporations and individuals to support the fledgling non-profit economic development organization and its programs. All MRB’s services are free to businesses requesting information and/or assistance to expand their businesses in the Mesquite Region. To date, MRB has successfully assisted Star Nursery, UTi Transport, and Deep Roots Medical in establishing their presence in the Mesquite region. MRB is also hosting the upcoming “Putting Mesquite to Work Job Fair” on February 5, 2015.
