To the editor:

The logic of the clarification comments made by Cresent Hardy at his private campaign fund raiser is lost on me.  His criticism of how women and minorities voted was insensitive enough but the 47% statement was outright bigoted and intolerant.  Hardy can spin the first comments about voting any way he likes but the 47% blunder says loud and clear, “THEY are the problem, not US.”  Hardy made it crystal clear he is not one of THEM, not one of THOSE people.  Hardy opened the dark side of his character and revealed he believes there are two classes of people, us and them.  As a candidate his statements say he will represent HIS people, not THOSE people. This country has come a long way toward getting rid of people like Hardy.  We can all, together, do better than Hardy.
