MLN-Obitjuly31-14Charles David Faught, 75, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 in St. George, Utah.  He was born August 29, 1938 in Taylor, Ariz. to Henry Albert and Bessie Bundy Faught. He married Donna Hunt on November 7, 1959 in the Manti Temple. They had four children and later divorced. On November 2, 1973 he married Marjorie Mae Schreiner and they were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple on November 2, 1976.

As a child, Charles lived in St. George, UT.  At an early age he moved to Mesquite and then Bunkerville. He did work as a bus driver, truck driver, in the disposal business and later owned and operated the Valley Garage. He served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife, hunting, 4- wheeling, and being in the mountains with his family.  He was a real cowboy.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Laureen (Calvin) Gabbitas, Shirlyn (Joseph) Zerkle, Shauna (Mark) Houser, Deanne Faught, Minette (Daniel) Santos and Cindy (Don) Townsend; sons, Charles A. (Jannie), David (Christina),  Dwaine (JoAnne) McConnell, Scott (Jennifer) McConnell, Mark (Dorothy) and Doug; 40 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Margaret (Lavoy) Whitmore, Lauretta, Roy (Sherry), Guy (Patricia), Ramona Crane, Jack (Kathy), Oneta (Stephen) Petersen, and Winona Faught. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Bunkerville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. and again Saturday, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., both at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel, 355 Virgin St.  Friends and family are invited to sign an online “Guest Book” at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
