The difference between the American Left and Right in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s big conviction in New York was, to say the least, remarkable.

Did Trumpers riot in the streets? Burn buildings? Oppress Jews on college campuses?
Nope. None of that.
Instead, Mr. Trump raked in $53 million in his campaign to retake the White House. It happened in 24 hours. All small contributions. And, perhaps most importantly, a sizable chunk came from first-time donors.
That happened on Friday, the Trump campaign reported.
On Saturday, two core liberal voting blocks — the Pro-Palestine crowd and the LGBT+ community — clashed on the streets of Philadelphia. Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked the Philadelphia Pride Parade from doing their thing with ‘No Pride in Genocide’ messaging. The same day, a Pro-Palestine protest at the Brooklyn Museum in New York aimed at occupying the museum and defacing art escalated into a significant police response.
Thirty-four people were detained by police for trespassing, damaging property and resisting arrest.
Those are two radically different takes on Democracy: The Left shouted down free expression and the Right worked within the system to right a perceived wrong.
This contrast was also present in a fundraising letter sent out by the Biden/Harris campaign in which they asked for money to “reform” the Supreme Court.
Here’s the plea:
“If we pass the judiciary Act we could:
• Restore Roe v. Wade
• Restore Affirmative Action
• Defend Voting Rights
• AND SO MUCH MORE”
Stacking the Supreme Court with four additional agenda-driven judges is a terrible idea no matter the flavor of the president in office at the time. It’s a power play designed to temporarily disrupt the balance of power between the branches of government. You know this because this is only taking place while a Democrat president is in office. If Democrats really thought expanding the court was needed “reform,” they’d have pushed for it when a Republican president is in office. But, of course, they didn’t. And they won’t.
The Biden/Harris campaign narrative that the 2024 election is about saving democracy rings hollow because, dammit, democracy needs saving now.
The Biden Crew pressured media companies to suppress free speech. It did it with Hunter’s laptop, COVID information — masks, 6-foot rule, school closure, business shutdowns — and the J-6 riot. Even now, Team Biden slow walks probes into U.S. involvement in the origins of COVID-19.
Look, it’s undeniable this Administration engaged in a form of fascism. The sale of Twitter and the release of the “do it or else” e-mail interaction between the government and the company proved that.
It’s also undeniable that Mr. Biden’s health is a big issue. No amount of hiding will change that.
Mr. Biden walks like a wind-up toy. He can’t string a coherent paragraph together. He mixes up world leaders, confuses cities in Israel with cities in Gaza.
The week after Trump’s conviction provided a glimpse of the first instincts of political forces in America: The Right donates and the Left oppresses.
