School supplies can be dropped off at Bank of Nevada locations through August 18, 2023
LAS VEGAS – Bank of Nevada and its employees are inviting the public to join the effort in providing school supplies to young scholars in need.
Through August 18, 2023, the public may drop off school supplies at one of ten Bank of Nevada locations in Southern Nevada during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Requested supplies include crayons, markers, paper, pencils, notebooks, binders, folders, backpacks, glue, scissors, rulers and calculators. All donated items will be distributed to Title 1 schools near Bank of Nevada locations in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson and Mesquite.
The Nevada Department of Education defines Title 1 schools as having a higher percentage of impoverished families and children receiving free or reduced-priced lunch.
The eight employee-led Business Resource Groups (BRG) at Bank of Nevada are coordinating the Back-to-School Supply Drive to support at-risk students in the local community. BRGs are comprised of Bank of Nevada employees who support inclusion initiatives for Asian-American, African-
