Robert Lewis Higbee

Robert Lewis Higbee, age 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Spanish Hills Healthcare Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Robert was born on October 31, 1967, in Duluth, Minnesota, and later attended high school in the Twin Cities.
Robert had a passion for cooking and attended chef training at the Damiano Center in Duluth. He also worked at Gopher State Ethanol. Cooking was more than a job or a skill to Robert—it was something he truly loved and enjoyed sharing with others.
Robert will be remembered for his loving heart, his devotion to his family, and especially the love he shared with his life partner of 41 years, Robyn Ranta. He loved his sons dearly and was proud of the time they shared together. Robert was also a devoted cat lover, and his love and compassion for animals were a special part of who he was.
Robert is survived by his life partner, Robyn Ranta; and his children, Joshua Lee Higbee, Christopher James Higbee, and Robert Louis Higbee Jr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Joyce Higbee; his father, Louis John Higbee Jr.; and his siblings, Jesse James Higbee and Stacy Marie Higbee.
Robert may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. His love for Robyn, his sons, his family, cooking, and the simple things that brought him joy will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
May he rest peacefully, and may his memory live on forever.
