The Virgin Valley High baseball team defeated Moapa Valley. 12-2, thanks to a strong start. The Bulldogs scored on a double by Jared Jensen and a single by Drake Wakefield in the first inning.
Bryce Intagliata earned the win for Virgin Valley. The lefthander went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out six and walking one.
Garrett Hadley took the loss for Moapa Valley. The righty lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out three.
Tyson Staheli started the game for the Pirates. The pitcher allowed one hit and five runs over one-third of an inning
Virgin Valley collected 12 hits. Wakefield, Intagliata, Jensen, Kyler Sudweeks and Kurt Felix each had multiple hits for the Bulldogs.  Wakefield led Virgin Valley with three hits in three at bats.
Chandler Evans went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Moapa Valley.
The Bulldogs are set to face Truckee in the championship game on Saturday. If Truckee wins the game, a second game will take place.
