Annual Parade of Lights Food Drive
Gather the entire family and come join the fun and entertainment on Thursday, December 2, 2021 and be a part of the excitement of the Annual Salvation Army and Virgin Valley Community Food Bank Parade of lights canned food drive; all entries need to be lighted.
Thursday, Evening get your spot early along the parade route as traffic will be diverted off of the boulevard from Arrowhead to Willow at 5:20PM. Bring your lawn chairs and some refreshments to stay warm and watch and enjoy the parade. The parade will head East on Mesquite Blvd on the south side lanes (City Hall side) of the street. Please remember to bring your cans of food to donate to the Salvation Army and local food banks. We will have volunteers picking food up along the parade route so bring your cans of food to support food drive; our goal is over 1000 LBS of canned food. The Eureka has contributed so there will be hot chocolate and cookies served.
The Parade of Lights was created in 2015 to celebrate the Christmas holiday season twofold; to enjoy the lights and to give to those who are less fortunate. The event has grown to become Mesquite’s largest canned-food drive. ( Mesquite Parade of Lights Facebook Page).
