As the COVID-19 pandemic, better known as coronavirus, continues to expand throughout the country, much of the information Mesquite residents receive are about locations outside of the local community.
Beginning March 16 you will see information pertinent to the Virgin Valley published on the Mesquite Local News website. Mesa View Regional Hospital professionals will provide the MLN with a daily update on the local situation by mid-morning. The MLN will update its website as soon as the information is sent to us. An example of the daily update is included at the end of this article.
We encourage you to use this information directly from our local medical source along with a new website published by the City of Mesquite to stay informed about the COVID-19 and how it’s affecting the place where you live. The City’s website is available at health.mesquitenv.gov
We will include a link to these official updates in our daily email blast that is transmitted at 1 p.m. each day. You can click on the link in the email or visit our website directly at mesquitelocalnews.com.
We will also provide a link to these daily updates on the MLN Facebook page, NextDoor and other social media platforms.
We believe official, proven information is much better in a situation like this than is the latest rumor or advice from your cousin’s niece who is married to a guy living in Georgia who heard it from his barber.
We caution you that events and effects are continuing to change at a very rapid pace. The MLN, along with our local officials, both public and private, are working hard to keep you up to date.
