The Virgin Valley High School Lady Bulldogs lost their second game of the season to archrival Moapa Valley High School Tuesday night January 28 in the Dawg House by a score of 42-25. They followed up the loss by running over Sunrise Mountain 46-34 Thursday night in Las Vegas.

The Bulldogs were still in the game at the halfway point against a strong Pirate team, trailing by six 21-15. The Lady Dawgs went cold in the third period managing only 2 points while the Pirates put up 12 points to increase their lead to 33-17. The teams battled evenly in the fourth period. The Pirates were led by Emma Hughes and Andalin Hillstead with 12 and 11 points respectively. Bulldog freshman Riley Price led the Dawgs with 6 points.

Information on the Sunrise game was not available as of this writing. The split kept the Dawgs in third place in 3A Sunrise League play with a 6-3 record.The Bulldogs travel to Pahranagat Valley on Saturday Feb.1and SLAM Academy on Feb. 3.
