On December 13, 2019 at approximately 9:23 p.m. Mesquite Police officers and detectives responded to an apartment complex reference a report of a stabbing.  During the investigation the officers learned the adult victim had been stabbed by a group of juveniles who fled the area prior to officers’ arrival. Officers and detectives immediately began a thorough criminal investigation in an effort to identify and safely take the juvenile suspects into custody.  Detectives learned one of the juvenile males had also threatened the victim with a firearm on an earlier date.

On January 23, 2020 the lengthy investigation concluded with the arrest of three juveniles and the identification of a fourth. Based on their involvement, the juveniles who were arrested were charged with battery with a deadly weapon, attempted battery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit battery with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies.  Due to the offenders being juveniles their names and any further information will not be released.

The victim survived the stab wounds and will make a full recovery.  The juvenile suspects were transported and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
