Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. The Mesquite Fire Department received 53 calls this week.

Oct. 20:
Stroke (CVA): Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to the reports of a person having a possible stroke. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional.
Breathing: Rescue 11 and Rescue 12 responded to the reports of a person having difficulty breathing. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional.
Oct. 21:
Special Event: Participated in Beaver Dam Littlefield Fire District’s New Engine Ceremony.
Fire Alarm: Truck 11 assisted a local resident with a smoke alarm malfunction.
Oct. 22:
Chest Pain: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a report of Chest Pain. One patient was treated, but refused transport to a hospital.
Unknown Problem: Rescue 11 & 32 responded to a report of an unknown problem and a possible man down inside residence. No occupant was located inside residence.

Unknown Problem: Rescue 11 & 32 responded to a report of an unknown problem and a possible man down inside residence. No occupant was located inside residence.
Vehicle Fire: Engine 31 and Rescue 11 responded to assist Beaver Dam Fire with a Semi on Fire. Fire was extinguished and scene left with Beaver Dam.
Oct. 24:
Stroke (CVA): Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded on a person having a stroke. Patient transported to Mesa View Hospital.
Heart Problem: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded on a person with a cardiac problem. Patient transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center.
Oct. 25:
Headache: Rescue 31 responded to an agency assist with Bunkerville Fire for a reported
person with a severe headache. Patient was treated and transported to MedicWest and down to Las Vegas UMC.
Chest Pain: Rescue 11, Engine 31 and Batalion 3 responded to the reports of a person having chest pain. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional for further medical assessment.
Oct. 26:
Stab/Gunshot: Rescue 31 called for a person complaining of trauma. One person treated and signed out against medical advice.
Fire Alarm: Engine 31 and rescue 31 called for a CO detector alarming. Engine 31 and rescue 31 found a faulted detector. Engine 31 and rescue 31 checked the detector and advised the occupant how to fix problem.
