Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 237 calls this week:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a business in reference to a possible DUI. One male adult minor was cited and released for illegal possession of marijuana and

paraphernalia.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a local business for report of trepass. One male was issued a citation.

Agency Assistance: An officer responded to report of suspicious circumstances at the hospital.

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a report of a two vehicle non-injury accident. One female was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a report of domestic violence in progress. One male was arrested for domestic battery 1st.Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino reference a report of a male trespassing on property. The male was cited and released for trespassing.Threatening: It was reported a male entered a home without permission. The R/P refused to file a report and requested the incident be a matter of record.

Burglary:  Officers responded to an attempted burglary at a residence.  Photographs were taken of the damage and information was gathered for report.

Oct.14

Trespassing: Officers responded to report of a male trespassing. One male was arrested. Officers transported one male adult to CCDC without any incident.

Wanted Person: An officer took custody of a male adult from Clark County Detention Center and transported him to the Mesquite Detention Center. The male had an active warrant out of Mesquite Municipal.

Agency Assistance: Firearm received from Pacific Grove Police Department. Owner of the firearm completed the CA DOJ LEGR application and received letter of approval to have the firearm returned to him. As a courtesy, Mesquite Police Department took possession of the firearm to release to the owner as he lives in Mesquite, NV. Enclosed with the firearm was a copy of the approved LEGR from the CA DOJ and a property receipt transferring the firearm to the Mesquite Police Department for return to the owner. Owner was contacted advised we did have possession of the firearm and scheduled time and day for pick up.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a business reference a trespass violator. The adult male was issued a citation for trespassing and released.

Oct. 15

Wanted Person:  Officers responded to the police department regarding a male in the lobby with an active bench warrant.  The male was taken into custody and booked at the detention center.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer responded to report of a male smoking marijuana in a parking lot. One citation was issued.

Welfare Check: Officers responded to a welfare check at a residence but were not able to make contact with the homeowner.

Theft: Officers responded to a drug store and took a report on a theft. This investigation is still ongoing.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for multiple traffic violations. The male driver and female passenger were taken into custody for possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Oct.17

Property Damage, Non-Vandalism: Officers responded to a residence reference property damage.

Missing Person: Officer was unsuccessful in locating an elderly male. Officer entered the elderly male into NCIC as missing due to his health issues.

Welfare Check: Officer was requested to conduct a welfare check on a resident. Contact was made with the subject.

Suspicious Person: Officers arrested a female adult for an active warrant.

Stolen Vehicle: Officers responded to a gas station reference a suspicious vehicle. After an investigation one adult male and one adult female were arrested on felony charges.

Dead Body: Officers responded to a local residence on an agency assist. One male was transported by a mortuary.

Oct.18

Civil Matter: Officers responded to a local business for a report of someone trespassing and damaged property during their stay.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a property damage call.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a 2-vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle at fault was issued a citation for Following too Close.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers took a report for a traffic accident that involved 2 vehicles. The driver of the at fault vehicle was cited for Fail to Yield Right of Way.

Citizen Assist: Officers took a report for a local resident who was the victim of identity theft.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers responded to a local casino. One male and female were arrested for a warrant and drug related charges.

Intoxicated Person: Officer arrested a male subject after observing him walking in the roadway while being intoxicated.

Oct. 19

Found Person:

Officer located a missing elderly male and removed him from NCIC as missing.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers arrested an adult male for possession of a controlled substance as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
