Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. The Mesquite Fire Department received 82 calls this week.

Oct. 6

Cardiac Arrest:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a Cardiac Arrest. One patient determined to be beyond help.

MVA with Injury: Battalion 3, Engine 31, Rescue 31 and Rescue 11 responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Two patients were transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital by Rescue 11 and Rescue 31.

Oct. 7

Unconscious: Rescue 11 was dispatched out for a person that had experience a near syncopal episode. Person denied transport signed against medical advise form.

Falls:  Rescue 31 was dispatched out for a person having a ground level fall from their wheelchair. Patient was transported to Mesa View Reginal hospital.

Oct. 8

Back Pain:  Rescue 11 was dispatched out for a person having back pain. Patient was transported to Mesa View Reginal hospital.

Psychiatric:  Rescue 11 responded to the reports of a person having psychiatric issues. Patient was treated and transported to Mesa View Regional for further medical evaluation.

Oct. 9

MVA with Injury:  Rescue 31, Truck 11, Chief 1 and Rescue 33 responded to a report of a multi-vehical accident. The accident resulted in multiple patients with only one being transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Fire Public Education:  Truck 31 provided Fire Public Education at the Virgin Valley Elementary School for Fire Prevention Week.

Oct. 10

Breathing:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to a report of a Breathing Problem. One patient was treated and transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Alarm : Engine 31 responded for a smoke alarm activation. Batteries changed in smoke detectors and system reset to normal. Engine 31 cleared from scene.

Oct. 11

Sick Person:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a report of a sick person. On scene the reporting party declined any medical complaint or need for service. No patient.

Back Pain:  Rescue 11 requested by MPD to evaluate a person with a complaint of back pain. Patient was transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Oct. 12

Trauma:  Rescue 32 responded to reports of a traumatic injury. 1 Patient was transported

to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Falls:  Rescue 31 Responded to a fall. 1 Patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.
