Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 186 calls this week:

Sept. 8:

Person on Foot: Officers stopped an intoxicated male adult after he walked in front of oncoming traffic at an intersection. The male was arrested for intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway.

Battery on Person: Officers were dispatched to a local hospital, in reference to a battery.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino on a call of a trespass, one adult male was issued a citation for trespassing.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Report taken of a Mesa Blvd. residence being egged by unknown person(s).

Theft: Officers responded to a store reference a theft.

Wanted person: Officer initiated a traffic stop, and arrested a passenger for an outstanding warrant.

Parking problem: Officer had unregistered abandoned vehicle towed off public roadway.

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The adult male passenger was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 9:

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers responded to a residence reference property damage.

Fraud: Officers responded to a casino reference a fraud. This incident will be forwarded to ISD.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a two vehicle collision without injuries.

Fraud: Officers responded to a restaurant reference a fraud. This incident will be forwarded to ISD.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Report taken of property damage of a construction site.

Fraud: Officers took a report of a debit card fraud.

Agency assistance: An officer took an agency assist for Elko Nevada police department regarding a custody agreement.

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. The female driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and ex-felon failing to register.

Sept. 10:

Suspicious person: Officer took a report of fraud/phone scam.

Theft: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence and took a report of a stolen gun. This investigation is ongoing.

Controlled Substance Problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the officer developed reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. A drug sniffing K9 was deployed and gave a positive alert to the odor of illegal narcotics. Upon a search of the vehicle 59 pounds of marijuana was located inside the vehicle. One male and one female were arrested for trafficking marijuana.

Wanted person: An adult male was arrested for an traffic warrant issued out of NHP, the warrant was confirmed. He was transported to Mesquite Detention Center to await transportation to Clark County Detention Center.

Sept. 11:

Unknown Problem: Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call and located an adult male and adult female. Upon further investigation the male was arrested for domestic battery and open container.

Domestic Violence IP W/ Weapon: Officers were dispatched to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence, in reference to a domestic in progress.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for a misdemeanor warrant.

Sept. 12:

Found Property: Mesquite Officer responded to the area of Mesquite Boulevard and Thistle Street reference found property.

Agency assistance: A Detective conducted follow up on an incident and learned of other possible

crimes occurring outside of the City limits.  The information was passed on to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

DUI:  Officers arrested an adult male for driving under the influence. The driver was observed jumping the curb in his vehicle and driving through a grass field at a local park.

Fraud: An officer was contacted by an adult female who reported an incident involving fraud.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a subject who could not pay for his meal.  An adult male subject was cited and released for defrauding an innkeeper.

Sept. 13:

Suicide: Officer responded to an agency assist at an apartment complex. Officers located one male deceased inside. The death did not appear to be suspicious and the Clark County Coroner responded.

Suspicious person: Officer completed a fraud report.

Suspicious person: Officers are investigating a report of a fraud.

Trespassing: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a trespass.  An adult male subject was cited and released for trespassing.

Sept. 14:

Trespassing: Officers cited and released one male for trespassing at a casino.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run accident that occurred on private property. The driver of the at fault vehicle was later located.Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a local casino regarding an assault. Officers arrested an adult male for Breach of peace and trespass.
