The Virgin Valley High School Lady Bulldog soccer team continued to dominate play in early season games. The Dawgs crushed independent private school Doral Academy 10-1 Wednesday afternoon September 4 at the Dragons home field.
Seven Lady Dawgs reached goal in the blowout game including a hat trick (3 goals) by forward Rainee Brito. Fellow forward Senior Ally Wright added two goals and Sadee Burton, Natalie Zarate, Kacie Garrett, Sarah Barnum and Emmelie Anguiano one goal each. Eight Bulldogs had assists during the win led by Jaymie Hulet and Paola Garcia with two each plus Alondra Roche, Emily Jimenez, Gracie Draney, Leslie Salazar, Brito and Wright with one each.
The Bulldogs continue their travels throughout the state facing Pahrump on the Trojans home field on Tuesday September 10 before returning home to host Sky Pointe on Thursday September 12 in their 3A Sunrise League opener. The Bulldogs preseason record stands at 3-0.
The Bulldogs won their first game of the season 5-0 over Doral giving them a 1-2 non-league record. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was freshman Zachary Trimming with two goals and one each from Rivaldo Chavez, Jonathon Pantalakis and David Baltazar. Baltazar had 3 assists followed by Trimming with two. The Bulldogs travel to Sky Point on September 12 in their Sunrise League opener.
