Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 175 calls this week:

Aug. 18:

Civil dispute: Officers responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr.  address on reports of a verbal dispute and a report was completed.

Property damage, non -vandalism: A report was requested for insurance purposes for property damage to a vehicle tire.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr. address on a domestic incident. One male was taken into custody on related charges.

Aug. 19:

Found person: Officers responded to a found person call at the Virgin River Casino. two, 2-year-old children  were found by Virgin River Security walking around the parking lot in their pajamas. Officers located the parents 2 hours later and arrested one of the adults for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Wanted person: Officers located and arrested an adult male with a felony warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court.

Theft from vehicle: I responded to a report of a vehicle burglary located in a parking lot of a casino.  Two items were stolen from the complainant and the vehicle sustained damage upon entry.  Information was gathered for report.*

Wanted person: Officer located a female with an active bench warrant out of Mesquite. The female was taken into custody.

Person on foot: Officer stopped an adult male for walking in the roadway. The male was taken into custody for intoxication in roadway.

Sexual assault: Officer took a report of a sexual assault which had occurred at a local casino.*

DUI: Officers responded to a reckless driver. The driver was later located at local parking lot and charged with DUI

Person On Foot: Officers patrolling a local park took female into custody after park hours.

Aug. 20:

Missing person: Officers responded to a welfare check turned missing person report at a truck stop.  One male was listed endangered/missing based off information provided by the complainant.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Police responded to a non-injury traffic accident. One female adult was issued a citation for a traffic offense.

Traffic stop: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for traffic related offenses.

Person on foot: Officers made contact with a male walking on a public road. The male was taken into custody without incident.

Aug. 21:

Person on foot: Officers made contact with two males at a local complex. One male was arrested and taken into custody.

Agency assistance: An officer responded to a report of a male possibly overdosing at an E.Pioneer Blvd. casino. Upon investigation it was determined the incident was a domestic related verbal dispute. One involved male was arrested for a local warrant.

Suspicious person: Officers made contact with an adult male and female outside their hotel room who appeared to have been involved in a domestic violence incident. The male was arrested for an active warrant from another state, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The female was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wanted person: Detectives arrested a female who had a felony warrant out of Mesquite Justice

Court.

Wanted person: One adult male was arrested for an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the male was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.

Sex offense: Officers responded to a nursing home reference  lewdness. The case is currently under investigation.

Theft: An officer responded to a storage unit facility on a report of theft from one of the units.

Assault: Officer responded to a report of an assault at an apartment complex. One subject was cited for battery.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a business on a call of a disorderly female. One adult female was arrested for disturbing the peace and trespassing.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to report of a traffic collision that occurred the day prior at the traffic circle located on Falcon Ridge and Mesquite Boulevard.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd.residence on report of verbal domestic dispute in progress.

Theft: Officers responded to a store reference a theft. One female adult was cited and  arrested for Petit Larceny.

Aug.22:

Trespassing: Officers responded to report of trespassing at a local casino. The subject was arrested for a municipal court warrant.

Stolen vehicle: Officers took a report of a stolen golf cart at a casino. The golf cart was recovered and the case is currently being investigated.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a business on a report of property damage. A report was taken for the incident.

Wanted person: An officer observed a male at a casino with a local warrant. The male was arrested for the warrant.

Theft: Officers responded to a casino reference a stolen phone.

Aug. 23:

Burglary: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd.  business reference a burglary. The case has been forwarded to the Investigative Services Division.

Burglary: Officers responded to a report of a burglary at a W. Mesquite Blvd. business. Investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism: Officers responded to a construction site on a report that someone had tampered with some of the construction vehicles. The investigation is ongoing.

Traffic accident w/o  injury: An officer responded to a report of a two vehicle traffic accident with no injuries. One male was cited for failure to maintain travel lane.

Stolen vehicle: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. store reference a theft. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle and one adult female was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Lost property: An officer took a report of lost property.

 

Custody issue: Officers took a report of a custody issue.

Theft: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a theft. Officers searched the area for the unidentified male, but were unable to locate him.

Domestic volence IP w/ weapon: Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence reference a domestic battery. One male adult was arrested for domestic battery.

Aug. 24:

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a Sun Valley Dr.  residence on a call of a domestic in progress. One male was arrested for domestic battery, and one female was cited and released for domestic battery.
