July 21:

Traffic violation: Officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving recklessly. The vehicle

refused the stop, fleeing from Officers. Driver was identified and needs to be contacted and charged with related offenses.

Fraud: An officer received a report of a fraudulent contact of a registered offender.

July 22:

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer completed a report of property damage.

Fraud: Officers took a report for fraud.

Controlled substance problem: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. An adult male passenger was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Suspicious person: Officer responded to a local Casino on a reported trespassing. A female suspect

was identified, cited, and released with a court date.

Verbal disturbance: Officers responded to a local address on reports of a verbal disturbance and

possible assault. One male was taken into custody.

July 23:

Citizen assists: An officer spoke to an Arizona resident for general information.

Fraud: Officer completed a report of fraud.

Miscellaneous CAD call record: Officers destroyed a toy gun that a female wanted to turn in to the police department.

Threatening: Officers took a report of a threatening that occurred on 7/22/19 in the parking

lot of a local gas station.

July 24:

Noise disturbance: Officers responded to a noise complaint. Three minors were issued a citation for

minor consuming alcohol.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Mesquite Officer responded to a local park reference vandalism.

Found property: Mesquite Officer responded to a local park reference found property.

Domestic violence:  Officers responded to a gas station and spoke with a female adult who stated she

had been arguing with her boyfriend. The female said there was no physical contact. The female refused to stay elsewhere and decided to go home.

July 25:

Mental person: One adult female was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Wanted person: Mesquite Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested an adult male for felony

warrants issued from another state.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a report of a hit and run accident. Incident number was given for insurance purposes.

Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to a Willis Carrier Canyon business for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officer completed a stolen vehicle report.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. One adult male was arrested for Felony warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run. The driver was located and cited for leaving the scene of an accident with unattended property damage.

Mental person: One adult female was transported by paramedics for a mental health evaluation.

July 26:

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a reported hit and run. The investigation is ongoing.

Background investigation: A Detective completed a business license background investigation.

Fraud: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a fraud.

Fraud: Officers responded to a report of a male attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a local gas station. Two males were later located and arrested for possessing counterfeit bills and possession of methamphetamine.

Traffic stop: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. Driver was taken into custody for warrants out of another jurisdiction.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to the parking lot of a business in reference to two females smoking marijuana inside a vehicle. One female adult was cited and released for smoking marijuana in a public place.

July 27:

Wanted person: One adult male was arrested on a warrant.

Agency assistance: Mesquite Officer responded to a local residence reference an agency assist.

Unknown problem: Officers responded to a residence reference a 911 hang-up. One adult male was

arrested for a warrant. One adult female was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

Fraud: Mesquite Officer responded to a local residence reference a report of fraud.

Minor gambling: Officers responded to a casino reference two minors gambling. One adult male and

one adult female was cited for minor gambling.

Trespassing: Responded to a casino reference a trespassing. One adult male was issued a citation for trespassing.

Fighting: Officers responded to a casino reference a male adult being disorderly. The male

was issued a citation for battery and disturbing the peace.
