Mesquite Region Economic Development would like to thank Dan Wright with Bank of Nevada for the years of volunteer service he has contributed to the organization. As of June 30th, 2019, Dan resigned as Chairman of the board and Dave Bennett was appointed as the new Chairman in his place. Robert Fuller with Mesa View Hospital was appointed as Vice Chairman, and Josh Tietjen with Reliance Connects was appointed as a new board member.

While Dan served on the board of Mesquite Region Economic Development, growth to our community came in the form of The Rising Star, Deep Roots Harvest, Exit 118, Eagles Landing, natural gas, Nordic Beach, and many more small businesses and projects.

Dave Bennett has an extensive background and is currently a Management Sales Representative with Fidelity National Title, a Fortune 500 Company in the title insurance industry since 2003. Dave has extensive experience in residential & commercial real estate sales, financing, development, and land use.

Dave is a graduate of Southern Utah University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Spanish, and a 2014 graduate of UNLV with a Masters in Public Administration.

Dave spent 12 years (3 terms) as an elected city councilman in the City of Mesquite with oversight responsibilities of the city’s redevelopment agency, annual budget, planning/zoning ordinances, master plan updates, economic development, strategic planning, and general city administration.

Dave added, “I am proud of the work that is done at MRED, and I am looking forward to working with the MRED board, staff, and our partners as the new Chairman of the organization.”
