Featured Dog- Spike

Spike is a small sized pit bull terrier with golden eyes. He is friendly and likes being with people. Other dogs in home did not like him so he came to the shelter. He would do best in home with no other dogs or small children. He knows sit and does well on leash. He is housetrained and micro-chipped.

Ruby- Female Rottweiler Super friendly, loves people. Knows sit shake and down. Good on leash. No other dogs please.

Peanut Male10 yr Border/beagle  He prefers the company of women. No children please. Housetrained , knows sit and good on a leash.

Raider- Male Pit bull terrier. Good dog. Loves people. Housetrained, knows his basic commands very strong. Secure fenced yard. No other dogs please.

Meg – Female white/calico Loves to watch the world go by and loves to be brushed

Luna – Female Likes attention. Not a lap cat

Izzy – Female was found as a stray. She is small in size and is a very nice little cat.

Feisty – Male13 yr Black/ Has summer haircut. Extra large. Loves being petted and being with people. Super friendly.

Sabrina- Female Not lap cat but likes head pets. She just had spa day and was shaved for the summer. Quiet home no children or other cats please.

Jasmine- female Tortoiseshell Very talkative. Not a lap cat but loves attention and being with people. No other cats please.

All animals adopted from the shelter will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving shelter and receive 1 year rabies vaccination and city license. Ages are approximate. The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter located at 795 Hardy Way is open for adoptions from 8:00 am until 4 pm Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), Saturday 11am-1pm , Sunday 1pm -3pm.
