Police Blotter May 19-25, 2019
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 191 calls this week:

May 19:
Wanted person: Officers located an adult female in a business parking lot. The female was known
to have an active warrant and was arrested for that warrant.
Theft from vehicle: Officers took a report for an auto burglary that occurred between 5/16 and 5/19 on Turtleback Rd.
Found property: Officers took a report for a found cell phone that was turned in to the PD
Lobby.
Traffic accident w/ damage: Officers responded to a 2-vehicle accident on private property.
Person On foot: Officers cited an adult male for jaywalking.
Indecent exposure: Officers responded to an apartment complex in reference to 2 people naked in the
pool. Two adult females were cited for obscene conduct.
May 20:
Suspicious person: Report taken on a missing person.
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for registration check and subsequently
arrested the driver for driving under the influence of drugs.
Wanted person: Officer’s arrested an adult male for a local warrant.
Civil matter: Officer completed a civil matter report.
Wanted person: An adult female was taken into custody for an active bench warrants. She was
booked into the Mesquite Detention Center on the warrant.
Dead body: Officers responded to an agency assist of an unconscious female adult. The
female was pronounced dead at the scene.
May 21:
Traffic accident w/o injury: Report taken of a traffic collision which occurred earlier in the day.
Missing person: Officer took report of a missing person.
Civil Dispute: Responded to an animal problem. One female adult was cited for
Animal/Noise Nuisance by the reporting party (R/p).
Theft: Officers responded to a local gas station in reference to a theft. One male
adult was arrested for Obstruction and cited for Petit Larceny.
Domestic trouble: Officers arrested a female adult for domestic violence.
May 22:
Phone harassment: An adult female was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest. She was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center and booked.
Hit & Run: Officer responded to a report of a hit and run accident. Officer was able to locate both vehicles and drivers to complete an accident report.
Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. One adult male was arrested for driving on a suspended DL, domestic battery, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Found property: Officer responded to a parking lot of a business for a report of found property.
Officer took custody of the property until the owner is identified and retrieves
it.
Juvenile problem: One juvenile male was sent home from school for fighting.
Traffic accident w/o injury: An officer responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
Trespassing: Officer responded to a restaurant for a report of a trespass violation. One subject was taken into custody for trespass violation, breach of peace and ex-felon failure to register.
Controlled substance problem: Officers arrested a female for possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 23:
Theft from vehicle: An officer responded to the Mesquite Recreation Center reference a report of
theft.
Theft: Mesquite Officer responded to a local business reference a report of theft.
Hit & Run: An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a hit and run accident which occurred in a casino parking lot.
Agency assistance: Officers responded to assist medical on a suspicious incident.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
May 24:
Person on foot: An officer stopped an adult male subject, who was riding a bicycle, because he matched the description of a subject that had seen on a private lot, possibly trying to access some storage sheds. This subject was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Suspicious vehicle: Officer saw a male adult in a city park after park curfew hours. The male male was arrested for an active warrant.
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officers responded to a casino parking garage reference a report of multiple vehicles that had been vandalized. The investigation is ongoing.
Graffiti: An officer took a report of graffiti at a local public park. The investigation is ongoing.
Sexual assault: An officer received a report of a possible sexual assault which had occurred. The officer initiated an investigation, which is ongoing.
Suspicious person: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person yelling at cars and
exposing himself. One male was taken into custody for indecent expose and intoxicated person in the roadway.
Trespassing: Officer was dispatch to a casino for trespass violation. One subject was issued a citation but was taken into custody for another jurisdiction.
Traffic accident w/o injury: An officer responded to a report of a two vehicle non-injury accident. One male was issued a citation.
Traffic stop: Officers stopped an vehicle for traffic violations. The two male adults, driver
and passenger of the vehicle, were arrested for the possession of a controlled substance.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, two female passengers were
issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident with no injuries, and report was taken.
Trespassing: An officer responded to a local casino, in reference to a trespass violator. An adult male subject was cited and released for trespassing.
May 25:
Controlled substance problem: Officers arrested an adult male and female for Possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Recovered stolen vehicle: Officer took a report of a Recovered Stolen Vehicle.
Theft: Officers cited two adults for petit larceny.
Sexual assault: Officer spoke with R.P. reference a past sexual assault. Report was taken, CPS contacted, and follow-up scheduled for following week.
Lost property: Officers took a report of lost property from a local casino.
