Come in to the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery this month and enjoy an adventure in the cultural travels of Barbara Cagianese as she takes us through cherry blossom time in Japan to running the bulls in Spain, her home away from home.  We then travel with her through the farmlands of Colorado to the beautiful ocean of Cozumel, Mexico.  Her diverse range of talent also includes mosaics and even edible art, just delightful.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Barbara has drawn and sketched all of her life.  Living in New York, she studied and showed her work in the Adirondacks.  While raising her children and practicing as a registered nurse, she moved to Colorado where she studied watercolor with Chuck Danford, and then pursued oil painting and acrylics.  Barbara’s paintings have been exhibited at the Lakewood Arts Gallery, The Edge Gallery and the Lakewood Arts Council Theater.

Barbara loved the Rocky Mountains but upon retiring, she decided to move to our beautiful Mesquite, Nevada, where she is very active in the Virgin Valley Artists’ Association and is on the Board of Directors.  Per Barbara, “This allows me to share the art experience with others.”  Barbara is an award-winning artist and her beautiful watercolor, oil, and acrylic paintings will be on display in the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery in the month of April 2019.

The Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery is located at 15 Mesquite Blvd., Monday through Saturday, 10am – 4pm, or call 702-346-1338 with any questions.

You can meet Barbara at our April reception Thursday, April 18, from 4-6pm.
