Southwest Gas is hosting an event at Star Nursery in Mesquite to promote National Safe Digging Month. The event is Wednesday, April 17, from 7-11 a.m. We will have team members handing out collateral about the importance of Call 811 Before You Dig, natural gas safety information, and most importantly, coffee and donuts! We will also be adding Call 811 labels to trees and shrubs inside of Star Nursery.

If you’re a senior over the age of 50 and like to compete, you can do that with the Mesquite Senior Games. Mesquite Senior Games competitions are happening now and through the month of April, there’s still time to get involved. This week there’s going to be women’s softball, poker and bowling; if any of these are ‘your thing’, sign up before it’s too late. Go to www.mesquiteseniorgames.org for information and schedules of all the MSG events.

Mesquite Fire & Rescue is offering monthly CPR classes at $55 per person. Payment must be received 24 hours prior to start date for reservation.
