On April 2nd, at 2:45 until 3 p.m. the entire Virgin Valley Elementary School and staff will be gathering outside on the playground grass to raise our wands and blow bubbles for autism. It is a way to celebrate diversity and promote acceptance. In addition, we created an interactive autism walk in our hallways where our students who have autism are displayed as well as facts, and quotes about the disorder. Next to each picture is a little information about each child to show how we can all have similarities and differences.
