Ever wondered what your neighborhood looks like from the sky? Maybe you’re curious how airplanes work or you might dream about being a pilot.
If the answer is “yes” to any of the prior and are between the ages of 8 and 17, there are some EAA member volunteer pilots who would love to take you on a FREE Young Eagles flight.
That’s right – a free flight!
This is your big chance and it will happen on March 30, 2019 at the Mesquite Airport from 9am – noon. Flights, provided on a first come-first served basis are limited, so get there early with a parent or guardian and don’t forget your camera. The event is also offering tethered balloon rides.
Want to lose some of that holiday weight before it’s swim suit season? A great way to do that is to visit Mesquite TOPS meetings. TOPS stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly and is an international organization of local chapters that encourage one another to eat healthy and move more to lose pounds. The local chapter meets at 3:30 each Wednesday in the first-floor conference room of America First Credit Union on Mesquite Boulevard. Members may also attend Nevada state TOPS’ functions the International Recognition Days held during the summer yearly where the international king and queen are crowned, and state kings and queens are recognized. Anyone may attend one free meeting. Call 702-346-2980 for more information.
Remember to send in those event notices, things are going to be happening that you’ll want folks to know about. Send them to terin.bbm@gmail.com so you can everyone know what’s happening with your group or club.

where is the meals listing for the Senior Center have not seen one in about 2 weekzs
Hi Tony,
Sorry, You haven’t seen one in two weeks because the Senior Center website/newsletter was down two weeks ago and I only receive the menus on the first of the month. I received April’s menu past deadline last week. They don’t send me the separate information about the senior center, I have to go online to look and if the website isn’t working, I can’t get any more information than the rest of Mesquite.
