March 17:
Battery on person: Responded to a fight at a local gas station. Report taken and two parties issued citation for battery.
Hit & Run: An officer took a report of a hit and run crash. There were no reported injuries
and the offender was not located.
Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
March 18:
Theft: Officers responded to Mesquite Police Department regarding a theft call from a residence. Reporting person stated items were taken from her residence. An incident report has been completed.
Stolen vehicle: Report taken of two trailers removed from property.
Fraud: Report taken of identity theft.
Lost property: Report taken of lost driver’s license.
March 19:
Welfare check: Conducted welfare check on adult male who had allegedly made suicidal comments.
Subject stated he was fine and had no intention of harming himself.
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run accident involving two motor vehicles. The at fault vehicle left the area. A report was completed.
Lost property: Officers completed a report on a lost property.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Responded to a hit & run at local business. Report taken, will attempt to locate V-1.
Hit & Run: An officer responded to a hit and run accident, vehicle vs bicyclist.
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer took a report of property damage to a vehicle. The report was taken and submitted to the City Attorney officers for a review of charges.
March 20:
Controlled substance problem: Officers made contact with an adult male who had in his possession a controlled substance.Domestic violence: Responded to a verbal dispute between a local couple. There was no battery thatoccurred.Theft: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a theft. A report was completed.Nuisance or minor disturbance: Officers made contact with an adult male that is an ex-felon who failed to register his address.Agency assistance: Detectives assisting Cedar City PD with stolen property pawned in Mesquite.Citizen assist: Officers assisted a female on how to file a protection order.TPO/restraining order/subpoena: Officers served a local residence with a subpoena requiring his appearance.Domestic violence:Officers responded to a residence on a report of a disturbance. It was determined no crime had occurred.March 21:Mental person: Officers responded to a residence reference a mental subject. One male was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic offenses. The driver had a warrant from another jurisdiction. One adult male was arrested for the traffic offense.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two-motor vehicle accident reported with no injuries. Officer completed a traffic accident report and one driver was issued a citation.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. A report was completed.
Domestic violence w/ weapon: Officers responded to a residential report of a domestic violence in progress. Officers arrived on scene and after investigation, arrested one female subject for domestic battery.
March 22:
Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to a casino reference a male refusing to leave after being
told to do so by security. One adult male was arrested for breach of peace.
Person on foot: Officers made contact with an adult female who was walking in the storm wash.
The female was arrested on federal warrants.
Citizen assist: An officer assisted a citizen by answering questions regarding a recent incident.
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a residence reference a theft from a vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
Theft: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a theft. A report was completed.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Driver was cited for jumping the curb in his vehicle and causing damage to a
city bus sign.
Sexual assault: Officers took a report of sexual assault. The case is currently under investigation.
Weapon offense: Officers responded to a report of two males fighting with two knifes in a parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation which lead to one male adult being issued a citation for battery.
DUI: Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The male driver was arrested for DUI/Alcohol and other charges. The male passenger was cited for open container of alcohol.
March 23:
Domestic trouble: Officers spoke with an adult male who was involved in a domestic battery. The male had physical evidence of injury and the female was arrested.
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a residence reference a theft from a vehcile. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented.
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a Sagedell Rd. residence reference a theft from a vehicle. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The drive was arrested
on multiple warrants.
Weapon offense: Officers responded to the police department in regard to a weapons offense. After this matter was investigated, it was determined no weapons offense occurred.
Traffic stop: Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The male driver and male passenger were both cited for open container of alcohol.
