The Virgin Valley High School’s Lady Bulldog basketball season ended Tuesday evening as the Dawgs fell to the Pahrump Valley HS Trojans 47-26. The game was literally over after one period, as the Trojans jumped on the cold shooting Bulldogs to take a 17-0 lead after one period of play. The Dawgs battled back behind Alexis Boatright outscoring the Trojans 22-17 over the next two periods before falling in the last period 13-4. The loss dropped the Lady Dogs to 5-5 in 3A Sunrise League play and 12-15 overall. Boatright had 14 points to lead the Dawgs. On the bright side, the Lady Dogs return their top three scorers from this year’s squad, Nathalie Lagamayo, Alexis Boatright and Areli Ponce.
