Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 157 calls this week:

Feb. 3:

Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed. The driver had multiple

traffic warrants and was arrested for the traffic offense.

Attempt to Locate: I located an adult male near a local business who Mesquite Detectives had

probable cause to arrest for Sale of Controlled Substance.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. One adult male was arrested for a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a residence on a call of a domestic battery. One male was arrested for domestic battery.

Feb. 4:

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a casino reference a hit and run. There are no suspects at this time.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Officers went to the DMV and returned plates that were recovered.

Trespassing: Officer responded to a residence on a trespass incident. One adult male was

arrested for trespassing.

Lost property: Contacted the RP who stated she wanted to file a report for an Apple

iWatch that she had lost on 1/30/19

Traffic accident w/ injuries: Responded to a two-car collision without injury. Both vehicles driven off by licensed drivers.

Juvenile problem: Officers responded to the City Library on a juvenile problem. An information report was completed.

Feb. 5:

Controlled substance problem: Officers were called to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference suspicious person/circumstance. Two individuals, a male and a female were found in the same stall in the women’s restroom. Upon investigation the male was found with drug paraphernalia in his possession. He was cited and released. Both individuals were trespassed from the property.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a Saddle Horn Ridge residence reference a suspicious circumstance call. A report was completed for documentation purposes.

False information: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business. The vehicle fled the area. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic stop: An adult male was arrested for DUI and booked into the Mesquite Detention

Center.

Feb. 6:

Trespassing: A male subject was cited for trespassing and left the property with further

incident.

Domestic Violence w/ Weapon:  Officers responded to a Glendale Rd. residence reference a report of a domestic battery. Upon investigation an individual was taken into custody for domestic battery and other charges.

Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers completed an accident report involving a vehicle and one pedestrian

resulting in minor injuries.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a residence reference property damage to a side door.

Transport: Transported one male juvenile to Clark County Juvenile Detention Center in Las

Vegas without incident.

Theft: Officers took a report of a theft at a W. Pioneer Blvd.  business. The investigation is on-going.

 

Feb. 7:

Noise disturbance: Officers responded to a noise complaint. Officers arrived and heard a female

adult cussing and yelling. The female was arrested for breach of peace.

Wanted person: Officers made contact with a female at a Mesa Blvd.  casino with a local warrant. The female was taken into custody for the warrant.

DUI: An officer was dispatched to a local address, in reference to a possible DUI driver.  An adult female subject was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense) and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Wanted person: Officer saw a male adult jaywalk across a public street. The male had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The male was arrested for his warrant and transported to Mesquite Detention Center.

Feb. 8:

Agency assistance: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence to assist Mesquite Fire and Rescue. One adult male was pronounced dead at the residence.

Found property: An officer responded to a report of a found bicycle.

Recovered stolen vehicle: An officer responded to a residence reference a report of a vehicle believed to be stolen. The vehicle was verified as stolen and was recovered.

Property damage, Non-vandalism: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business and took a report of property damage to the business.

Trespassing: A female was trespassed from a Cherokee St. house. The female was unfit to take care of

herself. The female was transported to Mesa View Hospital for a legal 2000.

Traffic Stop: Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. The driver and passenger of

the vehicle was cited and released for open containers of alcohol.

Feb. 9:

Theft: Officers took a report of theft from a business. The investigation is on-going.

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The driver and passenger was arrested for open container and transported to Mesquite Detention Center where they were booked.

Lost property: An officer responded and took a report of a lost debit card.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd. parking lot for a report of a hit and run accident. Officer completed an accident report.

Welfare check: Officer responded to a Huntington Hts. residence for a request for a welfare check. Officer discovered the resident was deceased.

Traffic accident w/ injuries: Officers responded to a single vehicle traffic accident with injuries on Falcon Ridge Parkway.  One adult male was taken to the hospital by Mesquite Fire Department.  An accident investigation report was completed.
