The Virgin Valley High School Bulldogs traveled to Las Vegas Friday evening to face the Sky Points Eagles in a showdown for fourth place in the 3A Sunrise League. The Dawgs came away with a hard fought win led by 15 points by guard Daxon Toone. The Bulldogs trailed 13-10 after one period of play but rallied with good defensive play to outscore the Eagles 15-2 in the second quarter to lead 25-15 at the break. The Bulldogs offense continued to exert pressure on the Eagles in the third period putting up 19 points to the Eagles 10 points increasing the Dawgs lead to 44-25. Coach Will Barnum used the big lead to use his bench in the final period. Braden Bingham and Kris Leavitt had 10 points each to help the Bulldog cause. The win gives the Dawgs a 2-2 league record after four games. The Bulldogs will travel for the next three league games before returning on February 8 to host archrival Moapa Valley.

Lady Bulldogs win Sky Pointe game by forfeit.
