Jan. 11, 1918, Littlefield:  Word was received here from Lester Jennings, now at Camp Lewis, that he has had an operation performed and is getting along fine.

J.W.Pollock came home last night from Moapa, where has been on business.

Jan. 11, 1917, Littlefield:  A wedding was held at the school house Jan 6 for Mr. and Mrs. Louie Adams who were married Jan 4th. The bride was Miss Lillian Frehner daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frehner, respected residents of this place. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams of Bunkerville, Nev. We wish them happiness in their new life.

Jan. 12, 1911, Washington County UT: Charley Foster, Jr, returned Tuesday from Littlefield, where he had been to take his sister, Lula.

Jan. 12, 1916, Littlefield:  Frank Peter of Hurricane was here recently in the interest of the Dixie Nursery Co. He went to Muddy Valley.

Our school is closed on account of the teacher being on the sick list.

Jan. 15, Jan.1914, Littlefield: the work at the Narrows (entrance to the Virgin Valley Gorge) is progressing very rapidly. Horses and machinery are being shipped in. There is talk of a railroad coming in in the near future from St Thomas NV.

Our school has resumed again after the holidays. Mr. Reber our schoolteacher, has returned after spending the holidays at home in Santa Clara. He has brought his wife with him for the winter.
