Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 65 calls this week:

Sept. 23:

Unconscious: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an unconscious person. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.

MVA with Injury: Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to report of a single vehicle accident. One patient signed out Against Medical Advice.

Sept. 24:

Trauma: Rescue 11 was dispatched to a agency assist with Mesquite Police Department, for a person that had possibly stab himself. No patient was found.

Chest pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 were dispatched out for a person having chest pain. Patient was transported to our local hospital.

Breathing: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 were dispatched out for a person having difficulty breathing. Patient was transported to a Saint George area hospital.

Unconscious: Rescue 11 responded to unconscious person. One person transported to local hospital.

Sept. 25:

Patient transport: Rescue 31 was dispatched out for Inter facility transport from our local hospital, to a Las Vegas area hospital. Recue 31 was cancelled by dispatch.

Patient transport: Rescue 32 was dispatched out for an inter facility transport from our local hospital to a Las Vegas area hospital. Rescue 32 was cancelled by dispatch.

Patient transport: Rescue 33 was dispatched out for an inter facility transport, from our local hospital, to a Las Vegas area hospital.

Sept. 26:

Chest pain: Rescue 11 dispatched to the correctional facility for a report of a patient having chest discomfort. Patient refused transport to hospital.

Sept. 27:

Abdominal pain: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a patient complaining of abdominal pain. Rescue 11 transported patient to the local hospital

Unconscious: Recue 12, 32 and Chief 2 responded to a report of an unconscious patient. Patient refused transport to hospital and signed out.

Hemorrhage: Rescue 11 and Rescue 12 responded to a patient complaining of possible GI bleed. Rescue 11 transported patient to the local hospital.

Patient transport: Rescue 31 dispatched to Mesa View Hospital for an ALS transfer to a St. George hospital.

Sep. 28:

Hemorrhage: Rescue 11 dispatched for a report of a bloody nose. One patient transported to the local area hospital.

Patient transport: Rescue 31 dispatched for an interfacility patient transport from the local hospital. One patient transported to a St. George area hospital.

Chest pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an individual with chest pain. Rescue 31 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Trauma: Rescue 11 responded to report of a traumatic injury. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Assault: Cancelled prior to being dispatched.

MVA with Injury: Rescue 31 responded to report of an auto vs pedestrian accident in a casino parking lot. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Sept. 29:

Trauma: Rescue 32 and Rescue 11 responded to report of a traumatic injury. Rescue 32 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Patient transport: Station 3 was dispatched for a patient transport from a local hospital to a Las Vegas area hospital for a patient on a physiatric hold. Due to already having one crew out of town, Beaver Dam Fire Department took transport.

Fire: Engine 31, Rescue 11 & 31 dispatched to a possible fire. Upon arrival, it was determined that there was a hot water leak in the ceiling. No fire was present. The water was shut off and all units returned to service.

Fire: Alarm Engine 31 and Rescue 11 responded to reports of a fire alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that the alarm had been set off by a child. The alarm was reset and both units returned to service.

Accident: Rescue 11 and Batallion 3 responded to reports of a person possibly having a stroke on the freeway. The person denied medical care and signed out Against Medical Advice (AMA). No patient was transported.

Patient transport:  Rescue 31 responded to an interfacility transport from a local hospital to a hospital in Utah. One patient was transported.

Unconscious:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an unconscious person. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.
