Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 171 calls this week:

Sept. 16:

Trespassing: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, reference a trespass violator. The violator was arrested and transported to Mesquite Detention Center due to the violator having three active warrants.

Missing person: Officer Responded to a missing person report: A juvenile became upset with his parent after getting in trouble and decided to leave on foot. Shortly after the report was made the juvenile returned.

Domestic violence: Officers were toned out to a domestic dispute at a Carrara Ct. residence. Husband and wife engaged in a verbal argument which became physical. Both parties were charged with domestic battery. The male was transported to the detention center and booked. The female was cited while receiving medical attention at the hospital.

Sept. 17:

Suspicious person: Officer searched the area and was unable to locate anyone or anything suspicious in the area or outside the aforementioned address.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Report of window cracked on school bus by unknown person(s).

Threatening: Responded to a report of threatening; one adult male taken into custody.

Found property: Officer booked a found wallet into the evidence vault for safe keeping.

Hit & Run: Report taken on a hit and run at a local government building.

TPO violation: Officer responded to a local business for a report of an order of protection violation. The applicant and the adverse party were in the same location which was against the TPO. An arrest was conducted over the violation.

Sept. 18:

Civil Matter: Officer responded to a Pinnacle Ct. business and completed a report of a suspicious incident.

Citizen Assist: Officers responded to a citizen assist for a report of a male in need of medical attention. While identifying the individuals one of the persons involved had an active warrant out of Mesquite Justice Court. They were taken into custody on the warrant.

Sept. 19:

Impounded vehicle: A vehicle which was parked on a public street with no license plate or temp tag was impounded.

Theft: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a theft from a coin machine. The case is currently being investigated.

Citizen assist: Officer took a report of a minor accident involving a juvenile on a skateboard.

Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to a motel reference a breach of peace. One adult male was cited and released for breach of peace.

Fraud: Officer responded to a residence in reference to fraudulent charges on the complainant’s credit card. The case is currently being investigated.

Threatening: Officer responded to a residence reference a threats call. The victim did not want to press charges against the suspect.

Found property: A cell Phone was found at Mesquite Night Out.  It was placed in found property.

Unknown problem: Officers were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a 911 hang up call.

Sept. 20:

Traffic Stop: An Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. One male was taken into custody for DUI.

Verbal disturbance: Officers were dispatched to a Lonesome Dove Dr. local residence, in reference to a verbal dispute.

Follow up investigation: Officers responded to the Police Department and spoke to a female regarding a past incident. The female wanted to report child abuse that occurred during the original incident. The case is currently being investigated.

Mental person: Mesquite Officer responded to a local school reference a person with mental health issues. The person was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Person on foot: Officers observed a suspicious male and female sitting inside a vehicle in an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino parking lot. Upon making contact with the male and female, the male was observed using illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. The male and female were placed under arrest.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a Cottonwood Dr. residence reference a suspicious post on social media.

Sept. 21:

Property damage, non –vandalism: Officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. car wash for a report of a vending machine being burglarized. Officer took a report and processed evidence. Investigation is ongoing.

Lost property: Officers responded to the police department reference a lost property. The property was lost in Las Vegas, NV and a courtesy report was taken by the Mesquite Police Department.

Person on foot: Officer recognized a male that had a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court. One adult male was arrested for the warrants.

Sept. 22:

DUI: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino’s parking lot, in reference to a possible DUI.  An adult female subject was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense).

Lost property: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a lost wallet.

Property damage, non –vandalism: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino parking lot, in reference to a property damage call.

Domestic violence: Officers were dispatched to a Megan Cir. residence, in reference to a domestic battery.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery (1st offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
