Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 44 calls this week:

Sept. 16:

Assault/Sex Assault:  Rescue 11 responded to report of an assault victim. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Chest Pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an individual with chest pain. Rescue 31

Sept. 17:

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to report of breathing problems. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Heart Problem:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to report of heart problems. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Unconscious:  Rescue 11, Rescue 31, and Engine 31 responded to report of an unconscious person. Patient found to be in Cardiac/Respiratory Arrest and was successfully resuscitated. Rescue 11 transported patient to the local hospital with Rescue 31 personnel on board.

Sept. 18:

MVA with Injury:  Engine 31 and Rescue 31 were dispatched to a semi rollover at mile marker 109.5. Upon arrival crews found a semi-truck carrying a load of shredded cheese on its side, on the shoulder. No injuries to persons involved or haz-mat were found; released by Nevada highway patrol.

Heart Problem:  Rescue 31 and engine 31 were dispatched out for a patient having heart problems. Patient was transported to our local hospital.

Sept. 19:

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 were dispatched out to a child having difficulty breathing. Patient was transported to our local hospital.

Patient Transport:  Rescue 31 was dispatched out to inter facility critical care transport to a Las Vegas area hospital.

Sept. 20:

Gas Leak:  Engine 31 responded to the report of a propane leak. A small leak was detected, but the leak was stopped quickly by closing a valve. The supplying propane company was contacted to correct the problem

Welfare Check:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 were dispatched for a welfare check. 1 person was transported to the local hospital.

Sept. 21:

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to a person complaining of shortness of breath. Patient signed out against medical advice

Psychiatric:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to the report of a suicidal person. No patient found on

Diabetic:  Rescue 31 and Battalion 3 responded to report of an individual with diabetic problems on the I-15. Patient was found at mm 75, which was much further South than initial reports, and he was treated by another agency.

Sept. 22:

Stroke (CVA):  Rescue 32 and 11 were dispatched to reports of a person possibily having a stroke. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Unconscious:  Rescue 31 and 32 dispatched to reports of an unconscious person. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
