Question: Out of 25 calls, 7 were transported to either St George or Las Vegas. This creates a lot of extra personnel time, more expenses to the department and patient and increasing risk of care. Why? I thought Mesa View was a REGIONAL hospital. Shouldnt it be offering more advanced emergency care and follow through medical care? I have gone to St George on my own several times because MV couldnt figure out what was wrong with me (shingles) and 5 hrs of needless tests in the ER for back pain (broken ribs). If I ever need to be transported Im requesting St George right off. MV is a beautiful hospital with great potential. Please make it more feasible for the locals.
