Artist Teri Rochford thinks her ‘Good Times’ begin on a Harley Davidson as evidenced by this colorful watercolor piece titled “Let the Good Times Begin.” This and many other good times are available for you to enjoy through July 28 during the Virgin Valley Artists Association’s July exhibit ‘Let the Good Times Roll’ sponsored by Seabreeze Management Corporation Inc. “Let the Good Times Roll” you right on down to the Mesquite Fine Arts Center where the Virgin Valley artists have captured some of the most memorable moments in time and in some cases their mode of transportation. They are more than willing to share those moments with the public now through July 28 during the Let the Good Times Roll exhibit, sponsored by Seabreeze Management Corp., and at the Mesquite Fine Arts Center located at 15 W. Mesquite Blvd.

The MFAC presently holds the works of several local artists who have captured many good times, either real or imagined, and the exhibit is colorful and breathtaking. The exhibit shows a wide variety of artist’s impressions of what good times are from enjoying nature to cruising down the boulevard on a Harley; there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy.

The public is invited to join the artists at the reception on July 19 from 4-6 p.m. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to this month’s winners during the Open House. The event is free to the public.

All artwork in the exhibit is for sale but hurry some have already been sold.

While you’re having your good times at the gallery remember to roll to the back room and take a gander at the wonderful work of July’s Artist of the Month, Lance Barr.

Stayed tuned for August when “Earth Wind and Fire” come to the gallery. It’s not the band some may have enjoyed in the ’70s, it’s the August Exhibit sponsored by the Eureka Resort. Just by the name alone, you can imagine that this is going to be a stunning, nature filled exhibit but you never know what the artists will come up with.

The MFAC is operated by volunteers of the Virgin Valley Artists Association. Members provide the artwork on display and partial proceeds from the sale of pieces help to support the VVAA and the gallery. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about membership, classes or upcoming events contact the VVAA at 702-346-1338 or visit their website at www.mesquitefineartscenter.com.
