Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 195 calls this week:

June 17:

Weapon offense: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. night club reference shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed substantial damage to multiple vehicles victims of a hit and run.  Suspect and suspect vehicle information was disseminated to surrounding law enforcement agencies and the suspect was subsequently apprehended.

Found property: Officers were looking for evidence on another case and found some property.

Lost property: Officer responded to an E. Mesquite Blvd. residence on a report of lost property. A report was completed.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer responded to property damage. RP reported someone broke their driver side window on their vehicle. No suspect information could be obtained no signs of evidence to show the vehicle damaged criminally.

June 18:

Burglary: Officers responded on a report of a past Burglary. One adult male was arrested for other charges.

Traffic accident w/o injury: An officer responded to a non-injury vehicle collision on Pioneer Boulevard.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer took a report of damage to a unattended motor vehicle. Photos and other information were collected.

Suspicious person: Report of resident steeling power services from neighbor.

Trespassing: An officer responded to a local casino in reference to a trespass violation.

Miscellaneous CAD call record: An officer responded to the lobby in reference to a civil matter.

Trespassing: An officer responded to a local casino in reference to a trespass violation. An adult arrest was made after an investigation.

Traffic stop: Officer Conducted a traffic stop on a male subject who was riding a motorcycle without a helmet and ran a red light. The male subject was arrested for DUI.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a business, where one adult male was cited for trespassing and released with a court date.

June 19:

Theft: Responded to a report of theft at a local city facility. Reviewed video and incident created.

Domestic trouble: One adult male was arrested for domestic battery.

June 20:

Suspicious person: Officer completed a report of stalking.

Wanted person: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense. The male driver was arrested for a warrant.

Controlled substance problem: Officer responded to a found drug call. The Drug tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine. The information was turned over to Mesquite Police Detectives.

Threatening: Officer responded to a report of harassment. A report was filed for documentation purposes.

Fraud: Officers responded to a residence reference a fraud that occurred.

June 21:

Burglary: Officer completed a burglary report. Mesquite Police Detectives arrived and processed the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious person: Officer responded to the local police station reference a suspicious circumstances call. After speaking with the R.P. a report was taken.

DUI: Officer responded to an intoxicated person call. Upon arrival the officer saw the vehicle pulling out of a business driveway without stopping. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver attempted to perform the standardized field sobriety test. The driver was unable to complete the test and arrested for driving under the influence.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a violation. It was determined the vehicle had been used in a murder in another state and was reported as stolen. The female driver and male passenger were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and destruction of evidence. Detectives from the reporting state will complete the extradition of both offenders.

Domestic: Officers responded to a local parking lot, in reference to a domestic battery in progress.  An adult female subject was taken into custody for domestic battery (1st offense).

June 22:

Trespassing: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a trespass.  An adult male subject was cited and released for trespassing.

Theft: Officer completed a theft report.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer completed property damage call.

Lost property: Mesquite Officers responded to a local store reference lost property.

Civil matter: An officer responded to a civil matter dispute.

Citizen assist: An officer responded to a property damage call.

Found property: An officer was dispatched to a local address, in reference to a found bicycle.

Animal bite: Officers responded to a residence reference an animal bite. A report was taken and has been forwarded animal control for follow up.

June 23:

Fighting: Officers responded to a nightclub reference a fight in progress. Officers arrived and the fight was over and the suspects had left the area. The case is currently being investigated.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a local business for a suspicious person, after contact the male was taken into custody.

Found property: An officer responded to a found bicycle.

Burglary: Responded to a burglary which had occurred sometime in the past 9 months. R/P is going to make phone calls, possibly civil.

Agency assistance: Officers assisted an outside agency with a shooting that took placed in Arizona.

Officers responded to the hospital maintain order and waited for the arrival of the deputies.
