At approximately 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, Mesquite Fire & Rescue personnel responded to a report of a drowning. Upon arrival, life saving efforts were begun on a child who had been pulled from a pond. The patient was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital where despite all treatments, resuscitate efforts were discontinued.
