The Virgin Valley High School Track and Field men and women continued to show good results this week during competition at Mojave High School. The women won their meet scoring 102 points to Mojave’s 90, Western’s 23 and Indian Springs 10 points. Leading the way for the Dawgs were Emily Teerlink with a first in the 100 meter dash, Sarah Walters first in the 800 meter run, Kaden Lee first in the 100 meter hurdles, Julia Ramirez first in the 300 meter hurdles, Maleena Felshaw first in the high jump, and Nikita Eskelsen first in the long jump. Freshman Rainee Brito added points with a second in the 200 meter and a third in the 100 meter dashes. The Lady Bulldog relay teams placed first in the 4×100 meters, 4×200 meters and second in the 4×400 meters.

On the men’s side the Bulldogs placed second with 89.5 points to host Mojave’s 141.5. The Bulldogs were led by Jeremy Perkins with a first in the shotput a second in the discus, Taua Fiso with a first in the discus, Braden Bingham first in the high jump, Brogan Bingham in the pole vault and Jaiden Juan with a second in the triple and third in the long jumps. The Bulldog 4×800 meter relay team also garnered a first place. The Bulldog track and Field team compete next at the Del Sol Weekly on Wednesday April 25.
