On Jan. 4, at approximately 8:30 a.m., while conducting a home inspection of a drug court participant, an officer found a large quantity of marijuana hidden inside of the home.  Mesquite Police Detectives were called to investigate further.  After securing a search warrant for the residence, the detectives located a large amount of marijuana and edible marijuana candies all packaged and ready to sell.  In total, the marijuana and edible candies weighed approximately twenty pounds.  Through their investigation, the detectives determined the marijuana belonged to the male suspect who lived in the residence, and not the drug court participant.  The male suspect was placed under arrest and safely taken into custody by Mesquite Detectives.

Saul Garcia-Sandoval, 25, of Mesquite Nevada, was arrested and charged with: Four felony counts of possession with intent to sell marijuana and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Due to the felony charges, Saul Garcia-Sandoval was transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas Nevada.
