Your business can save energy with a USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grant. Nevada Industry Excellence is partnering with USDA to offer a presentation on how your business can take advantage of USDA’s REAP Renewable Energy Systems & Energy Efficiency Improvement Grants.
REAP provides grant funding to rural small businesses and agricultural producers.
Funds may be used for the purchase, installation and construction of energy efficiency improvements and/or renewable energy systems.
Get started with an energy assessment to identify energy improvements customized for your operation by attending the seminar at the Rising Star Sports Ranch on Dec. 21 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bunny Wiseman and Jan Hansen teach ‘Drop-In’ oil and acrylics painting classes Tuesday mornings from 9am to 12 noon. Class fee is $10.00. All supplies provided for each student’s first class. Instructor will discuss supplies necessary for subsequent classes.
Char Lang has combined her Intermediate and Beginning Watercolor classes. Wednesdays from 9am to 2:30pm, both classes will concentrate on watercolor techniques, design & composition and color theory. Lang will do an intermediate demonstration in the morning, and a beginners’ demonstration in the early afternoon. Classes are $10 per class using your own supplies, and $15 per class using instructor provided supplies.
The Mesquite Library has some events centered around the children and Christmas from story time to Christmas movies on Saturday. Be sure to take the kids for some fun holiday experiences.
