Lady Dawgs Bernice Fiso and Abbie Barnum led their teammates to the team title Friday afternoon in the Bulldogs early Bird Invitational track meet winning two individual events. Fiso won both weight events and Barnum won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles easily. The Bulldogs showed off their sprint dynamos in the 4×100 and 4×200 relay events. The Dawg tandem of Emily Teerlink, Abbie Barnum, Emma Barnum and Macee Bundy blew out the competition by almost four seconds in the 4×100 relay in an amazing early season time of 51:09. The Bulldog quartet composed of Teerlink, freshman sprinter Nikita Eskelsen, Emily Hafner and Hailee Thornley won the 4×200 relay in a time of 1:57.04. Other first place Bulldog winners were Emma Barnum in the high jump and the 4×800 relay team composed of Alyssa Ponce, Denisse Jimenez, Sarah Walters and Viviana Archuleta. Second place winners were Eskelsen in the 100 meters, Walters in the 800 meters and Bundy in the 200 meters. Adding points for third place finishes were Emma Barnum in the 100 meter hurdles and triple jumps, Teerlink in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, Bundy in the 400 meters and Archuleta in the 3200 meters distance run. The Lady Dawgs showed off mid-season strength in the sprints, relays and weight events.
