Nevada has generations of veterans who struggle to keep up with the latest technology trends the VA is trying to implement and the information received by the VA can be confusing. This is why Congressman Hardy is hosting a Veterans Benefits Seminar where he is bringing together representatives from MyHealthevet, Choice, Veterans Benefits Administration and eBenefits to help train veterans in the community on how to access and utilize the services provided through the VA.

The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the College of Southern Nevada, Mesquite Campus, 140 N. Yucca St., rooms 8 and 10.

The goal is to give every veteran the resources they need to be proficient in accessing these services.

This seminar satisfies the need for training and information services regarding how to access benefits using the online portals available to returning service members, veterans and their families. These portals are put in place by each organization to help streamline the benefit process whether it’s applying, updating or refilling prescriptions.

The event will include four discussion sessions on the following programs: MyHealthevet, Choice, Veterans Benefits Administration and eBenefits. Veterans are encouraged to attend, listen to the important information and partake in the training.
