July 1 was a beautiful day for golf. Playing early these days sure makes a difference Finishing before the temp hits 90 is the way to go. Scott Jones thought so when he scored a 76 for low gross honors and he wasn’t done for the day. He also won the KP on hole #2, and his hole-out from the sand won him a skin, so it was an all-around good day for Jones.

The low net winners were Jim Buttler (1st), Mike Moreau (2nd), Ben Bishop (3rd) and George Henry took 4th. No score card playoffs for the wins this week.

The KP winners were John Johnson hole #8 and Don Austin hole #14. There were 6 skins this week:  Scott Jones hole (#2), Dave Camelat took 2 skins, holes (#4 and #6), Esther Strong hole (#8), Ray Mendoza hole (#9) and the final skin went to Stewart Jones on hole (#12). Scott and Stewart are a tough father and son team. Thanks to Brian Wursten and his staff for another great day on the links and the clubhouse service. We all will miss Brian and the great times he helped create for us at Falcon Ridge. We also wish him the very best in his new position in the golf business. And now we all are excited and looking forward to having the same relationship with Brian’s brother “Rob” when he takes over the course management.
