For those who want to get wet, stay cool and play at the park at the same time, the City’s Splash Pad at the Sports and Events Center is open for use to the general public on May 27 just in time for summer fun. The splash pad is located 1635 Championship Way just off Hardy Way.
Water cannons and waterfalls all provide great ways to enjoy the summer. Best of all, they’re free. Children must be supervised at all times and please no running. There are many amenities around the park including shade structures, playground and picnic areas.
The splash pad is available from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Sunday, May 27 – Sept. 30.
