Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue units responded to the Arizona Strip Monday (4/11) afternoon where Fish and Game Officers came across a vehicle stuck in the mud several miles south of St. George, Utah, Monday (4/11) afternoon at about 2:00 p.m.

As previously reported earlier today:  There was an elderly female subject in the stuck vehicle.  She related that her friend Camille Humphrey, 87, walked away from the stuck vehicle Sunday (4/10) evening at approximately 6:00 p.m.   Life flight from St. George has assisted with an aerial search while SAR ground units are searching the area.  A ground search for Humphrey continues today along with an aerial search.

Tuesday (4/12) afternoon, at about 12:15 p.m., Department of Public Safety Helicopter Ranger located Camille Humphrey has she stood waving her arms.  She was located approximately 11.5 miles from her vehicle.  DPS Ranger airlifted her to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George.  She was in good condition as she was alert and talking.  Humphrey is from Washington, Utah.
