With customer service being what it is today, nearly non-existent, it’s rare when you find someone who takes pride in their CS skills, especially one of the younger generation. When you do, I believe they deserve to be recognized. Perhaps it will inspire others to acquire some of these same SIMPLE skills.
While grabbing a quick dinner at Taco Bell between work and rehearsals, I had the pleasure of being served by Valerie Villa, a young woman with exceptional customer service skills. She was friendly, prompt and looked me in the eye when she spoke very nicely to me. When I asked for coffee, she didn’t say, “Sorry, we don’t have any made,” as I’d heard many times before. She said, “Of course I would be happy to make you a fresh pot, it’ll just take a minute,” with a smile on her face! Her manner is professional and courteous and she deserves huge thanks because I REALLY needed that coffee! Thanks Valerie, keep up the excellent work.
Because I was to cover an event later in the evening I had the camera with me so I snapped her picture.

Nice Job Teri, for speaking up. We need to hear more positive stories about our younger generation.
Great job Valerie, it wont be long before you will be running a business of your own.
