The Virgin Valley High School boys and girl basketball teams each had a player honored on the 1-A Sunrise All-League first team by league coaches. Bulldog senior Zach Barnum was named to the first team and junior forward Andrew Memmott made the second team. Barnum finished the season leading the Dawg in both scoring and rebounding with a 13.2 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. Memmott was second in both categories at 10.7 P.P.G. 4.3 on the rebounding side. Barnum and Memmott led the Dawgs to a 9-5 Sunrise League record and a third place finish.

On the girls side junior Briana Todd was named to the Sunrise All-League first team plus garnering second team honors on the 1-A All-Southern Region team. Bulldog senior point guard Spencer Green was named to the Sunrise League second team. Todd averaged 11.6 P.P.G. to lead the Dawgs scorers and finished with 7.0 rebounds per game, good enough for second on the squad. Todd shot a respectable 42% from 3-point territory on 37-89 shots attempted. Green and Todd led the Lady Dawgs to a second place finish in 1-A Sunrise League play with a final 11-3 record.
