Virgin Valley jumped on Del Sol High early with full court pressure leading to a 50-28 blowout. The Bulldogs behind the play of senior Todd took a 17-7 lead after one period of play. The Dawgs managed only 10 points in the second period but held the Dragons to only two points keeping the Bulldogs on top 27-9.

The Dragons were able to outscore the Bulldogs 12-8 in the third period to cut the Dawgs lead to 35-21. The fourth period was all Bulldogs as the Dawgs got their game back and put the Dragons away with a 15-7 advantage and a final win of 50-28. Todd led all scorers with 16 points followed by the tandem guards Green with 11 points and Emma Barnum with 11 points.

The win keeps the Dawgs in second spot in Sunrise League standings going into the battle of the valleys at Moapa Valley Friday night. The Pirates are two games back of the Dawgs which means nothing as this game is the season for both teams. The Dawgs travel to Sunrise Mountain on February 2 before finishing the season with three games at home.
