1/13/16

  • E-11, R-11 Performed Shelter in Place drill at Virgin Valley Elementary School.

 

 

1/16/16

  • E-11, T-11, R-31 Responded to a home on Canyon Way for a smell of smoke in the residence.  Arrived with no visible smoke or fire.  Smell of smoke in the home.  Isolated to air handler in attic.  Unit left off and resident advised to have unit serviced prior to further use.  
  • E-11, R-31 dispatched to an unknown fire in the area of Hafen and Community Garden.  Found smoke coming from a pit that had been used for a permitted controlled burn earlier in the day.  Pit is greater than 50’ from any potential exposure and is only slightly smoldering.   Units put water on the smoldering fire and cleared.

 

 

1/17/16

  • E-11, R-11 Responded to Lewis Street for a report of a vehicle into a home.  Arrived to find a truck had driven into the side of a home, as well as a parked car in the street.   No injuries reported.  Scene secured and held for evaluation by the building department.  Investigation into the circumstances of why the truck struck the home is being handled by Mesquite Police.
