Lottery lines for the $1.5 billion jackpot are reported to be as long as a 5 hour wait in some places such as Primm but in Beaver Dam and Scenic, AZ lines are manageable.
While passing by both the Beaver Dam Station and the Beaver Dam Lodge there were no lines at 8:30 a.m. today, Jan. 13.
Lines yesterday, Jan. 12 were a bit longer but very manageable. The Beaver Dam Station has two lines both in the store and the bar and neither one had folks waiting for more than 30 min. Both locations are located on Old Highway 91, at exit 8, in Beaver Dam/Littlefield, AZ.
I stood in line myself Jan. 12 for 25 min. and had a pleasant conversation with some people who came down from St. George and the experience wasn’t horrible at all.
You can even buy some fresh beef jerky or nuts of all kinds from a kindly vendor by the name of Mayo Stubbs who says his business is also doing pretty well with the influx of people rushing to purchase their chance to hit it big.
The Scenic General Store in Scenic, AZ is the best little kept secret for lottery sales. It’s off the beaten track and, although the locals know it well enough, it’s not accessible by a highway exit so those traveling to purchase their tickets just seem to pass it by.
The Scenic General Store is located off of Old Highway 91 about a mile outside of Mesquite on Scenic Blvd.
So when you’re thinking of trying to buy your piece of the action, check out Scenic and Beaver Dam, AZ.
